Antique 18k rose gold genuine diamond and ruby brooch.
I bought this beautiful brooch in Rome,Italy. I found the most wonderful tiny jewelry store tucked along a bustling business district. The owner was a Graduate Gemologist like myself and we became instant friends. She allowed my to go through a tray of special pieces she held back for herself. This was one of those pieces. It is a treasure. This brooch contains twenty one (21) genuine rose cut diamonds, and twelve (12) genuine rose cut rubies. The brooch has a hook that would have held a dainty ladies pocket watch. The brooch weighs approximately 6.4 grams.
